In partnership with the Geneva Learning Foundation and Adaptive Change Advisors, Boost recently hosted a Scholar Certification Level 1 Course on Adaptive Leadership for Immunization (see full press release).
Nearly 200 course participants, also known as Scholars, completed the six-week intensive course, which involved participating in weekly live sessions held by course facilitators and experts, reviewing their peers’ work and ultimately submitting final “creator projects” that fully addressed a significant adaptive challenge to their work.
Through this experience, Scholars gained knowledge of new concepts and expanded their peer network. Moreover, they were able to spend time diagnosing their challenges and creating an effective plan of action. The full execution of the plans continues beyond the end of the course, but early anecdotes of progress are encouraging.
We invite Boost members to attend an ongoing, monthly series, Voices of Leadership, where Scholar alumni will share examples, anecdotes, and approaches to tackle thorny "adaptive" challenges within the immunization field, drawing on their learnings in the course.
The first session will take place Tuesday, September 8 at 8:00 AM EDT (check local time) featuring Mutwali Adam Mohamed. We hope you can join us!
