This week, we are featuring The Geneva Learning Foundation, an organization that is leading change during the pandemic by offering learning opportunities that are fully digital, which can help strengthen your immunization and leadership skills.
The Geneva Learning Foundation (TGLF) is a Swiss non-profit with the mission to develop trial, and scale up new ways to lead change to tackle the challenges that threaten our societies. TGLF organize Special Events on key areas of concern for humanitarian, development, and global health work. Each Event is fully digital, with no travel required and no upper limit to the number of participants. Events are free for individuals. There is no cost for either registration or participation. In fact, by attending, you may gain access to new learning and leadership opportunities offered through the Foundation.

Upcoming Scholar Course
- New Scholar Course on Electronic Immunization Registries: The first English cohort of the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) Scholar certification course in Electronic Immunization Registries (EIRs) open to all professionals supporting or willing to support the implementation of EIR-related information systems. The purpose of this course is to strengthen country capabilities by supporting the development of context-specific (country or sub-country) action planning to develop, implement, and improve EIRs. TGLF encourages decision-makers, experts in health information systems, and managers in Ministries of Health and immunization programs, as well as in national information and statistics units or departments within PAHO and WHO Member States to apply. Data managers who are involved with immunization information systems are also encouraged to apply. For more details, watch this DigitalScholar video. Applications will be accepted until 30 August 2020, and the launch will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 2:00 PM CEST.
- COVID-19 Scholar Peer Hub Launch Event: The COVID-19 Scholar Peer Hub is a new program to support immunization professionals during the pandemic. The goal is to contribute to strengthened skills and motivation required to implement country COVID-19 plans of action by connecting staff across system levels and borders. Join over 15,000 immunization professinoals from more than 90 countries working around the clock to keep immunzation going. Join the launch on September 7 at 5:00 pm CET.
