You don't want to miss any of the amazing things that your fellow Boost Community members have accomplished this year!

Dr. Akosua Gyimah Omari-Sasu, the District Director of Health Services in Kumasi Metropolis, Ghana, noticed a decline in childhood immunizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to an outbreak of measles. To address this, she joined Boost and WHO's COVID-19 Recovery for Routine Immunization Programs Fellowship to learn more about strategies to reach zero-dose children from esteemed immunization experts and peers. During this training, Dr. Omari-Sasu drafted a proposal to address challenges in her urban district with the aims of training health workers to identify vaccination gaps, conducting community education campaigns, and integrating vaccination with other programs. After being selected for Phase II of the Fellowship, Dr. Omari-Sasu began to implement her proposal, with some surprising initial results.
