PAHO: Tackling Vaccine Hesitancy with Art and Dialogue in Bolivia

In Bolivia, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), in partnership with local authorities and funded by Canada, launched the "Vaccine Action" campaign to combat vaccine hesitancy in Indigenous communities. Using art, music, and community dialogue, they addressed fears and misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines. The campaign, which included workshops, radio programs, and street theater, significantly increased vaccine acceptance rates in Achacachi and Caranavi. It also strengthened ties between health workers and local communities, fostering trust and improving public health efforts.
