🚨[Special Opportunity] CALL FOR MANUSCRIPTS: 50 Years of Immunization—Steps Forward

Published on April 9, 2024

As we approach the 50th anniversary of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in 2024, the MDPI team are thrilled to invite you to contribute to a special issue commemorating this milestone. Since its inception in 1974, EPI has played a pivotal role in ensuring global access to vaccines, originally targeting six diseases and now encompassing a broader range of vaccinations for individuals of all ages. Through innovations in supply chain management, digital technologies, monitoring systems, safety surveillance, and injection techniques, EPI has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of public health.

Celebrating this legacy of progress, the MDPI team encourages submissions of original manuscripts, reviews, position papers, and case studies on various vaccine-related topics, including program implementation, research, and vaccination-related policies. Particularly welcoming contributions exploring vaccination in diverse and marginalized communities, as well as those addressing lessons learned from past and present health crises and their implications for future pandemic preparedness. Deadline to apply by October 31, 2024!

Manuscript Submission Information:

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to the website. The submission form can be accessed after registration. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline, on October 31, 2024, and all submissions will undergo thorough peer review. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles, and short communications can all be submitted for consideration. Authors are encouraged to send a title and short abstract (approximately 100 words) to the Editorial Office for announcement on the website. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously or be under consideration elsewhere. Detailed instructions for authors, including information on the Article Processing Charge (APC) and English editing services, are available on the Instructions for Authors page. Vaccines is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal published by MDPI. Authors should familiarize themselves with the journal's guidelines before submission.
