
Bright Spots Series with SCIDaR Session 2: Leveraging NNRISP Grant Successes for Immunization and Primary Health Care Optimization, Capacity Building
From Thursday, February 15 to March 14 at 9 AM EST // 2 PM GMT, Boost is co-hosting with the Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) team a bi-weekly Bright Spots Series on learnings along three foundational pillars of the intervention critical to the success of the innovation and subsequent Primary Health Care (PHC) service uptake, namely: Health Financing, Capacity Building, and Demand Generation.
On February 29 we hosted the second session of our three-part Bright Spots webinar series with the Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) team on Building Capacity of PHC Managers at State and Sub-state Levels: Approach and Lessons.
During this session, we heard from Jenny Sequeira, Global Health Consultant, Amina Abdulkarim, Engagement Manager SCIDaR and Dr. Chiroma Umar, Incident Manager, Yobe SPHCDA on capacity building approaches and continuous learning for healthcare providers. Afterward, a panel discussion provided the space for Jenny Sequeira, Adamu Abdullahi, Deputy Program Manager, SERICC and Boost Member, Sohini Sanyal, Capacity Building Manager, JSI India to share experiences on capacity building of health care workers and in the immunization space.
