Free Courses: Identify and Solve Gender-Related Barriers to Immunization
In collaboration with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Immunization Academy has created two gender equity courses to help immunization programs identify and solve gender-related barriers to immunization. In “Improving Service Delivery and Increasing Vaccine Demand Using a Gender Lens,” learn how to gather information as part of a gender analysis and use that information to generate demand for vaccines and improve service delivery. In “Supervision Using a Gender Lens,” learn how supervisors can create a more equitable and safer workplace. These courses provide a deep dive into gender equity in immunization and will take 25-55 minutes to complete. Both gender equity courses are self-paced, offered in English and French, and available for free on IA Learn. Certificates of Completion endorsed by Immunization Academy and Gavi are offered.
Also offered on Immunization Academy are short video lessons. Understanding gender-related barriers to immunization can help you reach and vaccinate more children. But what are gender-related barriers to immunization? How can you learn more about them in your community? And once you learn about the barriers, how can you use gender-related data to improve your immunization program? Find practical guidance in these short video lessons for frontline health workers and immunization managers.
