Countries are beginning to deploy COVID-19 vaccines, bringing new hope to the fight against the global pandemic. To ensure as many lives are saved as possible and support the trust of the public in health services, these vaccines must be deployed safely, effectively and fairly.
All health workers involved in COVID-19 vaccination need to have adequate knowledge and skills in order to ensure safe and efficient COVID-19 vaccine administration.
National and sub-national focal points in countries must also have the knowledge they need to develop effective deployment and vaccination plans and prepare for COVID-19 vaccine introduction.
