
Sabin Vaccine Institute Delivers Marburg Vaccines to Combat Outbreak in Rwanda

Sabin has delivered investigational Marburg vaccines to Rwanda to combat a deadly outbreak. The initial batch of 700 doses, followed by 1,000 more, is being used to vaccinate frontline healthcare workers in an open-label study. The outbreak, declared on September 27, has caused 46 infections and 12 deaths. Sabin's vaccine, based on the cAd3 platform, has shown promise in ongoing trials, with no safety concerns reported.
