Gavi ZDLH: Knowledge Translation for Zero-Dose Immunization Research Toolkit
Knowledge translation (KT) is a critical process for transforming research findings into practical applications that drive meaningful changes in practices and policies. By bridging the "know-do gap," KT ensures that research not only reaches its target audience but is also understood and applied effectively. Despite the publication of evidence, its impact is limited if stakeholders are unaware of or do not understand its significance. To address this, researchers must proactively develop targeted KT strategies, involving stakeholders early and setting clear goals for immediate and impactful use of findings.
The Zero-Dose Learning Hub (ZDLH) has created a KT toolkit to assist Country Learning Hubs (CLHs) in Bangladesh, Mali, Nigeria, and Uganda with translating their zero-dose immunization research into actionable insights. This toolkit offers a step-by-step process for developing KT plans, guiding researchers through customization, dissemination, and evaluation to support informed decision-making and policy changes.
